Buttery tops, never disappoint!

THE SAUCE IS OUT

Now that Chick-fil-A has released its secret sauce, we can get the business at HOME. I love making slider recipes because they’re great for lunch or dinner and they’re so versatile. Using King’s Hawaiian rolls, Chick-fil-A sauce, pan fried chicken, and pickle relish, these sliders are a tasty treat. I also LOVE this recipe because the kids can be involved in the cooking process.

INSIDE THESE COPY-CAT SLIDERS

  • CHICKEN; Pre-cut chicken tenders chopped into small chunks.
  • PICKLE RELISH; Relish is easy to spread. You could also use slices of pickles.
  • CHICK-FIL-A SAUCE; The original sauce can be found in most local grocery stores.
  • PARMESAN CHEESE; Grated is great for garnish.
  • SEASONINGS; Ground mustard, paprika, salt and pepper

HOW TO MAKE THESE NUGGET SLIDERS

  1. In the medium skillet add canola oil. Set the temperature to medium high heat.
  2. While your oil is heating up. Chop your chicken tenders into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Place your chopped chicken into a bowl and season with ground mustard, paprika, salt and pepper.
  4. In a separate bowl mix flour and cornstarch, powdered sugar, salt and pepper.
  5. Dip your chopped chicken into the flour mixture. Dust off the excess flour and dip into hot canola oil.
  6. Cook chicken until golden brown and crispy. Internal temperature should reach 165° f. Once the chicken is finished remove and drain on a paper towel.
  7. Using a bread knife, slice the whole sheet of Kings Hawaiian rolls in half. No need to separate them for this part.
  8. Put the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls into a 9×18 glass baking dish.
  9. Now start building your sliders.
  10. Spread some chick-fil-a sauce on the bottom of the rolls, then add a layer of relish, a layer of chicken and finish by topping with more chick-fil-a sauce. Put the roll tops back on.
  11. Drizzle your melted butter all over the tops of the sliders and top with grated parmesan cheese.
  12. Bake your sliders for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown at 375F.
  13. Once your sliders are golden brown. Remove them from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  14. Cut and serve. Enjoy!

If the internal temperature at the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165 F, your chicken is cooked. You can also, cut or poke a small hole in the thickest part of the chicken near the thigh. If the juices that run out are clear, with no blood, your chicken is cooked.
