Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. All Pourpos flour
- 2 c. Buttermilk
- 4 tsp. Baking powder
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 ½ tbsp. Granulated sugar
- ½ c. Butter melted unsalted
Buttermilk Substitution!
If you dont have Buttermilk on had or you cannot find it in the store, there is an easy substitute! Create Sour Milk.
- 1 c. Milk
- 1 tbsp. Distilled white vinegar
- 1:1 Ratio
- After adding the vinegar to the milk, whisk it together and let it sit for about 5 minutes. The milk will bubble/curdle a little. That is ok. Now you have a similar flavor to buttermilk.
How to make Buttermilk Swim Biscuits
- Start by preheating your oven to 450° f.
- While your oven is heating up, add all the dry ingredients into a bowl. If you want to sift the flour that is an option.
- Use a whisk to mix the dry ingredients together.
- Next, add in your buttermilk and mix until everything is combined.
- Do not over mix.
- Add your stick of butter to your 9×11 dish and melt it in the oven.
- Pull it out just before the butter starts to bubble.
- Next add in your biscuit mix to the dish.
- Use a rubber spatula to make sure that the dough is spread all the way to the edges of the pan.
- Place the dish into the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
- At the 10 minute mark use a knife to cut into your dough depending on what size of biscuits you want.
- Finish baking your biscuits for another 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown on the top. Times will vary, so jus keep an eye on your biscuits!
- Let them cool for about 5 minutes before serving!

Notes
How to reaheat your biscuits
- Microwave for 10-15 seconds wrapped in a papertowel.
- Air Fry is perferred! On reheat setting for 3-4 minutes.
- Oven, low setting on a oven safe dish.
- You can store these biscuits in an airtight container on the counter for up to 3 days!
- You can freeze biscuits in a vacuumed sealed bag for up to 4 months. Thaw out on the counter or in the refridgerator.
