LETS MAKE YOUR GUACAMOLE THE STAR OF THE PARTY

I have been working on perfecting it for 17 years. I am here to share with you the secrets to the perfect guacamole. It is SO easy to accomplish and goes perfect with so many other dishes like tacos, burritos, fajitas, tostadas and more. It’s salty, it’s zesty and its delicious!

KEY ITEMS THAT WILL ELEVATE YOUR GUACAMOLE

  • Avocados– try to find ripe if you can. Look at avocados who’s stems come out easily if you try to remove them. Or look for avocados slightly soft to the touch. Avoid avocados that sink in when you press them, this means they are overripe. Using a overripe avocado will leave your guacamole bitter in taste and brown in color. If you have avocados at home that are not ripe, place them in a brown paper bag and store in a warm area for the day.
  • Fresh Lime juiceThis is key for this recipe. Not only will the fresh lime give the best flavor, it will preserve your guacamole’s color better.
CHIPS ALWAYS NEED A DIP OR AT LEAST A FRIEND TO EAT THEM!

Quick Steps

1. Cut your ripe avocados length wise. Remove the pit, by using the “knife twist” method or a spoon. Keep one of the pits from the Avocado. You will need this to keep your guacamole fresh.

2. Add avocados to the bowl along with all of the other ingredients. No specific order.

3. Use a large fork to smash everything together. As you are mixing, use a small spoon to taste your guacamole. Add more seasoning if necessary. Remember, if enjoying guacamole with chips they normally have salt on them, so go easy on the addition of salt.

Tips For Success

TASTE, TASTE, TASTE! This is KEY to success. Every time I make this dip, I taste it along the way to make sure that the seasoning is where I want it. Once you add too much of something, it is hard to come back. My tip is to SLOWLY add the spices. Increase or decrease where needed.
