Braised Chicken and Tomatoes
I love this chicken dish for a switch up on chicken night! It is full of rich flavor and your family will enjoy it!
Equipment
- Dutch oven
- or
- Large stock pot
Ingredients
- 1/2 tbsp. Kosher salt
- 1/2 tbsp. Aleppo Chile & Sumac Blend @spicetribe chili powder, paprika, all spice, nutmeg, cinnamon
- 1/2 tbsp. Cumin
- 1/2 tbsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 can Fire roasted tomatoes
- 4 cloves of garlic sliced
- Drizzle Evoo
- 2 tbsp. butter
Instructions
- Directions
- Start by seasoning your chicken with the spices listed. Make sure to season the skin and the meat.
- Drizzle EVOO all over the chicken and make sure that it is evenly coated.
- In a Dutch oven or pot heat the oil and butter.
- Once the oil and butter is bubbling add chicken and brown on all sides.
- Once the chicken is brown on both sides, remove the chicken from the pot and place in a bowl or on a plate
- To the pot add tomatoes and garlic, stirring well.
- Place the chicken back into the pot and simmer on low cooking until chicken is done (165°).
Notes
Serve this dish with your favorite sides like rice and vegeables.
