Buttermilk Biscuits

You are going to love this fluffy biscuit recipe. It is perfect for Biscuits and gravy, jam or butter! I love to eat them with just about anything!

  • 2 C. Flour
  • 1 tbsp. Baking powder
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tbsp. Sugar
  • 6 tbsp. Butter frozen and shredded
  • ¾ C Buttermilk plus extra for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • Use a cheese grater to shred your frozen butter.
  • Mix together flour, baking powder and salt
  • Add butter and mix until it’s a coarse consistency
  • Gradually add butter milk, mixing until dough leaves side of bowl
  • Roll dough out on parchment paper to about 1/2 inch thick. The more you fold and roll them the more layers you will create.
  • Use a cutter to make biscuit rounds
  • Place on a sheet pan and top each biscuit with milk
  • Bake for 10 - 12 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

You can make your biscuits as thick or as thin as you like.
